Past Projects Update

When possible it is important for us to visit projects as they progress. It is also important to receive pictures from clients with updates. Church members love to share their excitement as they are building a new church. They like to brag about how many visitors stopped at the job-site, just to take a look. They also love to share with us the number of people who attended their dedication. They are proud of all the new families they have attending since they began holding services in the new building. We share in their excitement and love sharing it with you.

In February of 2000, we assembled a 120' geodesic dome for Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Lanham, Maryland. Pastor Kato and his congregation celebrated their dedication on June 3 of this year. The 10, 982 square foot geodesic dome was built on a basement and includes an elaborate wrap-around for offices and education. Frederick Ward Associates designed the structure and Harbor View Contractors built the complex. Both firms should be very proud of the beautiful and unique outcome.

The congregation of The First Presbyterian Church in St. Mary’s, Ohio, began worshiping in their 56'x70' rectangle on Easter Sunday. The congregation along with design/build team, ADECO, Inc., are planning a dedication service in July. One of the special features is the 150 year old stained glass that they moved from their former church. UCS staff members visited and can attest to the fact that the members are very proud. One local visitor commented, "It’s the best looking church in town."

This past November, our crew assembled a 93'x130' rectangle for Christian Love Fellowship in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Recently, three of our staff members visited the job-site and returned with new pictures.

The church’s general contracting firm, The Daniele Company, continues to work on-site. Presently they are working to finish the exterior with a split face block. This building will house the church’s new sanctuary.
